What's New?

Qué hay nuevo?

Collection Manager now OpenURL compliant as a source:
We are pleased to announce that Collection Manager is now 'OpenURL-compliant' as a source. Users will be able to maintain the base URL of their link resolver in CM Preferences. Once the URL is entered and saved in the 'Default field information' section of Preferences, you will see the [Other resources] link displayed following each title. Using this link will take you directly to your link resolver, sending title and ISBN data.

You can now Cancel orders from Collection Manager:
We have added a 'Cancel Order' function to Collection Manager. A Cancel button will display when the Order window is opened for any Firm order with an 'Open' order status. Clicking on the Cancel button will change the order status to 'Cancel pending" and the cancellation request will be directed instantly to Customer Services. Once the order is cancelled, the order will be updated in Collection Manager with a status of 'Cancelled'.

A few new items on the Review Reports screen for managing your delivered reports:
We have added two new options on the Review Reports screen:

    1. You can now batch delete reports by tagging the reports.
    2. You can now opt to sort your reports by name or by date.

Share a note about a title with your colleagues:
We have added a [Library notes] field associated with every title, which will allow each library to add and share notes about the title with their colleagues. Any user who has Request, Order and/or Export capabilities will be able to add notes to the field. If the library is linked to other libraries in Collection Manager, the Library Notes can be shared across all the linked libraries. Added notes will be automatically appended with the Userid, Library and Date. If a note exists, you will also see a red flag displayed by the [Library notes] link. .

Collaborative Collection Development from Collection Manager:
Allows groups of libraries to create more diverse collections and share subject matter expertise while saving precious time and budget resources. Blackwell's has years of experience working with groups of libraries, ranging from consortia to multiple campus institutions. We have learned that successful collaboration is achieved by creating tailored solutions that match your group's requirements rather than applying a "cookie cutter" template.
